As travellers are being welcomed back to Belize, hotels all over the country have raised the standard of health and safety protocols that are being implemented on their property. The Belize Tourism Board recognizes these properties through their recently launched “Tourism Gold Standard” Recognition Program. 

This certification is awarded to accommodations with efficient behaviors and procedures that ensure the health and safety of both travellers and employees at the property. Each accommodation is graded by a detailed 9-Point checklist. This checklist ensures safety protocols are being implemented. 

The Caye Hotel has received all nine points under this program and is officially a Gold Standard Accommodation in Caye Caulker.
